The Product Development team combines a group of talented young people with seasoned professionals who proudly develop the backbone of our company together. We are self-driven and collaborative and work with a large cross-discipline understanding and ownership. It’s in our DNA to creatively challenge the potential of loudspeakers by mixing technology and user friendly designs in a way that makes us frontrunners within our categories. We explore new technologies and like to be at the forefront of what is possible in order to deliver the very best products. Customer value comes first, always, but we are close to the business and work towards commercial targets as well.

As our new Mechanical Engineer, you will play a leading role in the mechanical development of our speakers in close collaboration with the entire Product Development team and our external partners in Asia. As an experienced product-oriented engineer, you embrace all phases of the development project and are eager to deliver the best experience to our customers.

  • Okay, let’s make things a little more concrete. Here’s what we expect your daily life to look like:
  • You’ll be the mechanical lead on all new speaker projects and collaborate with a number of different disciplines to help turn ideas on a whiteboard into tangible products.
  • You’ll work on maturing industrial designs towards manufacturing.
  • You’ll integrate hardware and acoustics into the mechanical design to ensure an optimal experience from the end user.
  • You’ll create the 3D model of the products in accordance with the industrial design and collaborate with the supplier on refining your design.
  • You’ll be responsible for the 2D drawings and assembly steps of new products.
  • You’ll be responsible for the design for manufacturing in collaboration with our Asian manufacturing partner.

REQUIREMENTS

In order to become a success in this role, we believe that your profile should be aligned with the bullets listed below. However, we acknowledge that success can take many forms, so please do apply even if you don’t tick all the boxes.

  • You’re knowledgeable of the process around maturing industrial designs into mechanically manufacturable products.
  • You possess good communication skills and thrive in a role that links internal- and external collaboration.
  • You’re very comfortable in CAD modeling tools, e.g. Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar. Perhaps with some familiarity in Adobe Illustrator.
  • You’ve worked with plastic molding, environmental tests and verification of mechanical parts.
  • You have 7+ years of experience in mechanical execution of products and are driven by the prospect of sharing your knowledge to drive real impact in a young organization.
  • You have a relevant educational background within mechanical engineering.
  • Moreover, we’d absolutely love it if you have experience from electronic consumer products manufactured in Asia and the integration of electronics (incl. wireless capabilities) into mechanics.
  • Most importantly, you have a great personality and want to become part of an innovative and international community driven by the prospect of enabling people to have great experiences all over the world.
